Where?

Only 14 miles west of downtown Orlando, Winter Garden is in the western part of Orange County. State Road 50 cuts the city into two - the northern and southern sections. The south unit was formerly occupied by farmland and orange groves. Recently, large-scale communities have been developing there to accommodate the growing population in the area.

Winter Garden is home to many professionals working in Orlando, young families, and even some retirees from other states. Winter Garden has a 2020 population of just over 47,000 - making it the 62nd largest city in Florida. Did you know there are over 20 schools in the community, giving families plenty of choices to find what works best for their young ones? For families with children, the public schools here consistently have high rankings from year to year. You’ll also find a variety of charter schools, private schools, and religious schools.

• Every Saturday, the downtown area hosts the Winter Garden Farmer’s Market. The market is home to live music, local produce, and local artisans from 9 am - 2 pm every weekend. 
• Nature lovers flock to the West Orange Trail - a 22-mile paved pathway that cuts right through Winter Garden, Oakland, and Apopka. Rent bikes, skates, or jog along this popular path. 
• The Garden Theatre is host to over 200 live events every season. Enjoy plays, concerts, movies, and arts education opportunities throughout the year.
