This planned community, founded by the Walt Disney Company in the mid- '90s, has bloomed into a beautiful and charming small town. Celebration is no longer officially affiliated with Disney, but the town and its buildings have been meticulously maintained over the years. Where?
Just south of Orlando, this unincorporated community in Osceola County is just a stone’s throw from Disney World. It occupies 10.7 square miles in Central Florida. Major roads leading to Celebration include 417 and I-4 and 192 in Kissimmee.
Who?
Celebration is home to approximately 10,000 residents. The community is very close-knit, family-friendly, and great for seasonal snowbirds. The public schools for local families are Celebration School (grades K-8) and Celebration High School (grades 9-12).
What to Do?
The town of Celebration has plenty for its residents to enjoy. Nature is a significant selling point in this community - the Town Center even sits on a huge lake! There are over 40 neighborhood parks and more than 20 miles of walking trails to explore in Celebration and its surrounding area.
